Message in a Bottle
Message in a Bottle stores your vital medical details in a standard bottle kept in the fridge, where emergency services are trained to find it.

Message in a Bottle is a trusted Lions initiative used right across the UK. It is a simple, highly effective scheme designed to provide the Emergency Services with crucial, life-saving information about any individual they are called to attend at home.
A small, waterproof plastic container holds both important medical history and current prescription details — information that can be quickly passed to the attending medical practitioner if the person is unwell, injured, or unable to communicate clearly. It is particularly useful for anyone living alone, the elderly, or those with long-term or life‑threatening conditions.
Typically kept in the fridge with a bright, recognisable external label on the door clearly marking its location, every emergency service team is fully trained to look for it immediately upon arrival. In urgent or life‑threatening situations, the up‑to‑date information inside could help speed up your care and even save your life.
