Marion Cook

I was privileged to enjoy a career in teaching spanning nearly forty years, before retiring in 2010 as Deputy/Acting Head.

Alongside my teaching work, I volunteered for the NSPCC, served as a Brown Owl, and worked as a swimming instructor.

After retiring, I maintained my links with education, serving as a School Governor at both Southfield and Watchfield schools, as well as driving the Lions Minibus for a variety of community groups.

Currently, I volunteer with the National Trust at Coleshill, with Highworth Bumps to Babies, and with Root and Branch.

Earlier this year, I was approached by Lions President Norman Little, and agreed to rejoin the Highworth & District Lions to help with projects focused on Highworth’s young people.
