Our longest-serving member, Brian Bradbury Pratt, celebrates his 100th birthday on Thursday, 24 September 2026.

Joining the Lions Club in 1976, Brian has been a dedicated and valued part of our Lions family ever since, giving freely of his time, energy, and commitment to serving our local community with unwavering generosity.

Brian gave 25 years of service with the Lions Club; upon his retirement, he was presented with Lions Internationals highest honour - the Melvin Jones Award - in recognition of his long and active service. This award still sits in pride of place on the wall in his bedroom.

His decades of service stand as an inspiration to us all, embodying the true spirit of Lions: kindness, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to helping those in need.

On 17 September, Highworth Lions held a pre-birthday celebration attended by the Highworth Town Mayor, Julie Murphy, and Brian’s friends from across the years at Highworth Lions.

Reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 years is a wonderful achievement in itself; to have spent so many of those years giving back to others makes it all the more special. We are incredibly proud to count Brian among our members, and we thank him for everything he has done for our club and our community.
